I am an education, library, research, and technology enthusiast. My interests are diverse, including, but not limited to: libraries, teaching, curriculum/program design, education policy/research, & technology integration into learning spaces. Current research interests include: digital curation, design-thinking, makerspaces, & participatory/passion-driven learning environments. I have taught students in both public and private school settings and have worked as a Librarian, Media Specialist, and Technology Integration Coordinator. I’ve also worked with adult learners and K-12 educators at both local and state level conferences and workshops.

I have research skills in utilizing reference databases and curating digital resources, as well as an extensive knowledge of children’s & young adult literature. I am experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, Social Media Platforms, and HTML/CSS. I am adept at using Google Apps for Education and am a Google for Education Certified Trainer. My experience also involves a variety of Web 2.0 learning tools, Chromebook management, & hardware/software/network troubleshooting. I am a connected educator and  was a part of the Google Glass Explorer program. I have also been recognized as an Apple Teacher, Amazon Education Teacher Innovator, School Librarian of the Year, and one of the Top 100 PA Educators to Follow on Twitter.

I obtained my master’s degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and undergraduate degree from Rosemont College. I hold Pennsylvania teaching certificates in Elementary (K-6), Social Studies (7-12), and English/Language Arts (7-9) education, as well as Library Media Specialist (K-12) certification. I present locally and nationally on a variety of topics that include design thinking, digital literacy, technology integration, makerspaces, libraries, and more.
