Instructional Design – Online Course Build
This intro video was created as part of an instructional design demo course. The task provided was to choose an emerging trend in higher education as a course topic. Modality was online and asynchronous. Requirements included: a landing page with video walk through of the course, 1 full module with a minimum of 4 components, all being accessible content.
Instructional Design – Online Training Site
The Finalsite Training Site was used to support a group of administrators, educators, and secretaries who are each involved in updating the District website in varying capacities. This website houses video tutorials as well as downloadable step-by-step guides for commonly needed tasks.
Library Collection Development & Executive Communications – Presentation
This slide deck was developed to explain the process and timeline behind the development of a new middle school library collection of approximately 13,000 titles and $220K to board members. I created all charts and graphics and provided additional editing of content prior to giving the presentation with colleagues.

Graphic Design – Infographic
This infographic was designed to present information from a parent survey that garnered approximately 1100 unique responses. Survey data was compiled and analyzed prior to creating the infographic where data is broken down by building and grade level.

Graphic Design – Social Media Content
This is a sample of content that I created during the pandemic advertising virtual events – primarily to middle and high school age audiences. These were posted on the library’s social media accounts. Additional graphics were created highlighting different digital resources (ebooks, Hoopla, databases etc).

Graphic Design – Print Marketing
This flyer was created as part of a fundraiser. Required information was provided by board members. I then created print flyers to advertise the sale of cookbooks. Additional flyers were created to highlight topics of interest (YA Mental Health, LGBTQIA titles, theme of empathy, and more.
Executive Communication – Presentation
This presentation was created in collaboration with school leaders across departments prior to the school district reopening during the pandemic. All graphics were created individually and the entire slide deck went through multiple rounds of feedback before arriving at the version presented. Click on the link above to view the presentation.

Sample Collection – Relevant Reads
This collection of titles was created in June of 2020 in response to recent events. It contains lists of current titles for ages 5 through adult in suggested age bands. Titles were compiled and then organized and designed to be presented in the format seen.

Curriculum Design – Design Thinking Course
The STEM Lab 9 course was created as part of a set of foundational courses in a STEM program. Its goal was to provide an introduction to design thinking as both a concept and a process. It offered the opportunity for students to experience the entire design process for three different cycles while layering in explanations of each step of the process along the way.

Sample Collection – Civil Rights Era Titles
This collection was designed in response to task to curate a set of 20 individual texts centered around the civil rights era for an audience of students in grade 8. Texts were selected to purposefully include high interest nonfiction and graphic novels, as well as narrative nonfiction and biographies to provide background knowledge on the era.

Executive Communication – Print Article
This article was written for an audience of community members and was printed in a township magazine. Its goal was to explain the concept of project-based learning (PBL) to a non-educator group and to highlight how PBL might work in a virtual learning environment.
Art/Sketchnotes – Video How Might We…
This video was created as a means of explaining my personal teaching philosophy. This is based on students’ development of skills in the areas of creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Through content creation and connections, I endeavor to guide students on their way to becoming lifelong learners. I am particularly interested in blending design thinking mindset with more traditional curricula. An explanation can be viewed in the video above.
